Abstract

1334127 Photographic developer FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 13 Aug 1971 [17 Aug 1970] 38214/71 Heading G2C Viscous developer for the silver salt diffusion transfer process comprises (1) a silver halide solvent, (2) a cellulose derivative thickening agent, (3) an alkaline agent, and (4) a (2-4C alkyl) hydroquinone as developing agent. Preferably (1) Na 2 S 2 O 3 optionally mixed with KCNS, (2) is meltyl-, hydroxyethyl or carboxymethyl-cellulose, and the developer may also contain an antifoggant (e.g. 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetriazole) and / or a toning agent (e.g. 2-morpholinomethyl-3- phenyl- 1, 2, 4-triazole, 3-methyl-1- morpholinomethyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 4-triazole-2-in- 5-thione or 1-hydroxymethyl-3-methyl-1, 2, 4- triazole-2-in-thione).
