1357013 Screening apparatus DAMAS JENS NIELSENS MASKINFABRIK AS 12 Oct 1971 [12 Oct 1970] 47388/71 Heading B2H Screening apparatus for seed and like materials comprises at least two screening drums rotating about their own axes whilst simultaneously rotating about a main axis, the drums being mutually shielded at least along the lowermost area thereof. Each screening drum has outer 7, 7a and inner 8, 8a cylindrical screen plates and is suspended from a shaft 5, 5a. The shafts 5, 5a are rotatably mounted in cross-bars 3 and 4 attached to a main shaft 2. Thus the screening drums can rotate about the shafts 5, 5a while the shafts 5, 5a are rotating about the main shaft 2. The material to be sifted is supplied to the drums via a hopper 9a which rotates with the shaft 2. Material which is too large to pass through the screen 8 is collected in a cylinder 13, passes to a channel 16 and is discharged through an outlet 18. Other material passes to a channel 15 or a channel 22 and is discharged through outlets 17 and 23 respectively. The material is moved along the channels 15, 16 and 22 by vanes 20, 19 and 21 which together with the cylinders 11 and 13 rotate about the main shaft 2. Two shileds 26 and 26a are secured to the upper surface of a plate 10 to prevent material which has been ejected from one drum hitting and passing through the outer screen of the other drum.
