Abstract
1354168 I C engines O & R ENGINES Inc 27 Aug 1971 [31 Aug 1970] 40220/71 Heading FIB A cylinder block 15 having an exhaust port 59 through its wall is adapted to be mounted on the crank-case 13 in any one of a plurality of different positions, e.g. three positions, in each of which the exhaust port is orientated differently relative to the crank-case. Mixture is drawn from a carburetter 43 for flow through the crank-case, an opening 49 in the flange 51 and transfer grooves 55 and 57 in the cylinder wall. Projections 69a to 69d inwardly of the opening 49 locate the block 15 by engagement with depending block projections 63 and 65. Figs.4a to 4c and 5a to 5c (not shown), illustrate three positions of the block on the crankcase.
