Abstract

1354148 Magnetic separating BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 21 July 1971 [22 July 1970] 34136/71 Heading B2J In apparatus for separating ferro magnetic particles from flowing media by passing the media through a magnetic field and subsequently removing the particles by flushing, a container of non-magnetic material 5 and inlets 12, 11 and outlets 10, 14 so that the medium to be treated and the flushing medium both pass through the zone of the magnetic field. As shown, the magnetic field is produced by applying direct current to an electro magnet 1 having soft iron rings 2 and 17 arranged concentric to the electro magnet core 3. The ferromagnetic particles may be catalyst particles from a chemical process.
