1353511 Sulphamoylpyrimidines containing an asymmetric carbon atom SCHERING AG 26 April 1971 [28 April 1970] 11295/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I) (including salts, optical isomers and racemates thereof) where C* is an asymmetric carbon atom, X and Y are a direct bond or a methylene group, R 1 and R 2 are H or halogen, C 1 to C 6 alkyl or C 1 to C 4 alkoxy, R 3 and R 4 are different from each other and signify H, C 1 to C 4 alkyl, CO 2 H or alkoxy carbonyl of up to 4 carbons, R 5 and R, are H or C 1 to C 4 alkyl, R 6 is C 1 to C 6 alkyl and W is a direct bond or 0 or 5, are obtained by standard methods utilizing compounds II to VIII. Pharmaceutical preparations exhibiting blood sugar lowering activity contain I as active ingredient; administration is, e.g. orally.
