Abstract
1352076 Mechanical switches TEXAS INSTRUMENTS Inc 24 June 1971 [1 July 1970] 29651/71 Heading H1N In an electric switch keyboard, push-buttons 26a, Fig. 2, depress snap-over conductive discs 22 into engagement with a printed circuit board 10, the discs resting at their peripheries on a common conductive sheet 18. Projections 52 on the discs pass through apertures 21 in an insulating separator plate 20. The discs 22 are located by apertures 36 in an insulating board 34. The buttons 26a may be formed (as shown) from a single unitary body of resilient material or may comprise separate buttons (64), Fig. 7 (not shown), slidable in an apertured plate (68). The snap disc contacts 22 eliminate contact bounce and may be made of stainless steel plated with gold.
