Abstract

1461752 Snap action switch HEWLETTPACKARD CO 9 April 1975 [3 July 1974] 14613/75 Heading H1N In a key-operated switch, the key 16, Fig. 2, rests on an arched strip contact 14a and has recesses 28a, 28b on either side of its central portion 26, Fig. 3, whereby the strip is prevented from buckling asymmetrically when the key is depressed. The strip 14a and fixed contacts 10a are mounted on a printed circuit board 12 having a cover 34, The key 16 has a projection (22), Fig. 1 (not shown) to limit its downward movement to an amount less than the contact movement, and is pivoted on an integral pin (20), Fig. 1 (not shown).
