Abstract

1351643 Non-twist yarns GIFU YOMO KOGYO KK 12 June 1971 27633/71 Headings D1N and D1W Non-twist yarn is made by dividing fibre lap 1 in tape condenser 3, 3' of a cording machine to form ribbon-shaped laps, rubbing each lap between rubbing leathers 5 to form a sliver 10, dampening each sliver between a pressure roller 11 and a dampening roller 13, and rubbing each sliver between rubbing leathers 14 to form a non-twist yarn 15. Roller 13 may apply hot water, soapsuds, oil or synthetic resin to the slivers. The slivers may be reinforced by pulverised synthetic resin.
