Abstract

1351472 Measuring temperature electrically VASIPARI KUTATO INTEZET 19 April 1971 [13 March 1970] 23943/71 Heading G1N In an arrangement in which the temperature of a process is measured by a resistor sensor 1 which is connected in a bridge circuit 12 having an indicator 2, the measurement is compensated for temperature changes brought about by other processes by (1) auxiliary circuits 3 and 4 which supply to the indicator compensating currents of adjustable polarity and magnitude and (2) further auxiliary circuit including a motor-driven resistor 5, 6 which supplies a current of adjustable polarity which varies in magnitude at a predetermined rate. The arrangement has application to a chemical process where the quantity of material involved in a reaction is determined from the heat of the reaction. Circuits 3 and 4 are used to compensate for heat produced by ancillary chemical reactions which take place with the reaction being measured. The circuit including motor-driven resistor 5, 6 is used to compensate for heat varying with time such as heating or cooling due to ambient conditions.
