The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 883,629 from which it has been divided but the claims relate to an immersion unit for sensing the temperature of molten metals comprising a heat insulating support body, and a tube of refractory insulating material both ends of which enter the body and an intermediate part of which houses the sensitive part of a temperature sensing element which passes through the tube and is joined at points within the body to two electrical conductors for connection to a measuring circuit. Specification 883,631 also is referred to.
