1348500 Cartons JOHN WADDINGTON Ltd 21 Dec 1972 [22 Dec 1971] 59777/71 Heading B8P A tubular carton which is end-filled has a glue flap 24, 26 comprising two or more separate portions the portion 26 not being coated with glue and extending further from the adjacent panel 12 than the portions 24 so that when glue is applied to the portions 24 by an in-line glue machine a plough will deflect the portion 26 out of range of the glue roll. The portion 26 has tear lines 30 extending to fold line 22 so that a lid can be torn open. A cutout 40 facilitates raising of the portion 26 and the portion 26 can be tucked into a slit 42 to hold the lid closed. The carton may be square, rectangular, hexagonal or triangular in crosssection.
