Abstract
1347722 Knitting-machines; cams WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 22 July 1971 34384/71 Heading D1C A cam system 2 comprises a tucking cam 12 and a clearing cam 14 rotatable is a sleeve 10 carrying a guard cam 11. The sleeve is also rotatable, and can be locked in any one of three positions - note the positions of cam 11 in Figs. 3-5. Cam 12 and 14 are lockable in one of two positions relative to cam 11- compare Figs. 3 and 4, and 5 and 6. In one position, Figs. 4, 5, cam 14 is withdrawn manually or by pin 18 engaging a slot 20 in the sleeve. The arrangement permits guarding of the butts 4 as they clear, Fig. 3; tuck, Fig. 4; or remain inactive, Figs. 5 and 6.
