Abstract
1347451 Track circuit INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 4 Jan 1972 [5 Jan 1971] 229/72 Heading B7N Track section GL having a ballast resistance RB is fed from source M with a voltage UM developed in inverter W under the frequency control of unit St which generates a control voltage Ust having a frequency which is a non- integral ratio to the frequency of the traction voltage Uv and the section is connected to a receiver E including an active filter which is synchronized to the frequency of the voltage UM, by a clock signal ft from unit ST. Thus the frequency of the track voltage UM and the frequency to which the filter is tuned change to compensate any change in the frequency of the traction voltage. In the receiver the output from the filter is rectified and compared with a D.C. voltage derived from signal UR from the inverter which is arranged to have an amplitude below the rectified filter output when the track section is unoccupied and above it when the section is shunted by a train axle RA.
