Abstract

1345416 Diaper MOLNLYCKE AB 19 April 1971 [10 Feb 1970] 21409/71 Heading A3V A diaper comprises a T-shaped fluid absorbing body which is formed of defibred cellulose 1 wrapped in water-transmitting, non-woven, fibrous material 2 and has an insert 5, e.g. of plastics mesh or foam plastics, embedded therein to extend throughout the cross portion 3 of the T and into the stem portion 6 of the T as shown. In use the insert 5 serves to stabilize that portion of the body in which it is located in both the wet and dry states of the body thereby to prevent displacement of the diaper from its intended position on the wearer with the portion 6 between the wearer's legs the portion 3 on the front of the wearer's body above the legs. The portion 3 of the body may be made thicker than the portion 6, and an acrylic resin binder may be include in the cellulose 1. A plastics covering may be provided on that side of the portion 3 intended to lie nearest the wearer in use.
