[Also in Division A5] A sanitary product such as a diaper (20, Fig. 3) comprises a soft fluid-permeable wrapper (12, Fig. 1, and 22, Fig. 3) composed of interbonded, flat, aerated regenerated cellulose fibres and an insert of fibrous absorbent material (14, Fig. 2, and 24, Fig. 4) the fibres of which are impregnated with a surfactant catronic long-chain alkyl compound having a straight chain structure of at least 12 carbon atoms. The wrapper (12 or 22) may cover only the body contacting side of the diaper (20) and a moisture impervious sheet may be used on the other side.
