Abstract

Diaper comprises an outer layer of waterproof material secured to an inner layer 10 of non-absorbent material in such a way as to allow introduction and removal of an absorbent pad 14 between the layers, the non-absorbent material being liquid permeable only in the direction away from the user's body unless the pad 14 becomes saturated. The end 12 of the diaper is open and the diaper is secured on the wearer by means of press studs 15. The diaper may be of hour-glass shape.
