1344660 Telemotor systems; fluid actuated valve gear BURMEISTER & WAINS MOTOR-OG MASKINFABRIK A F 1971 A S 17 Dec 1971 [26 Feb 1971] 58790/71 Headings F1B F1P In an hydraulic system wherein a cam 10 reciprocates a piston 6 in a cylinder 5 to displace liquid through a conduit 3 to move a piston 21 for actuating an I. C. engine valve 17, a liquid supply line 4 is connected with the conduit 3 through a non-return valve 33 and with the cylinder 5 through a duct 31 containing a throttle valve 35 and exposed only when the piston 6 is at or near its outermost position. Thus each time the duct 31 is exposed leakage from the conduit 3 is automatically made up. After a prolonged stoppage with the duct 31 covered, replenishing liquid enters through the valve 33. The valve 17 is urged towards its closed position by a plurality of springs (29), Fig. 3 (not shown) or by air in a cylinder 23 beneath a piston 22 fixed to the valve's stem 19. The line 4 may be fed from the engine lubrication system.
