Abstract

1344585 Display boards H HOLTZ 17 Jan 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 2064/72 Heading C5C [Also in Division H1] A permanently magnetized indicator board for magnetic retention of letters, symbols or other objects is contructed of rectangular hollow members 1 of synthetic material provided frontally with longitudinal grooves 2 accommodating interconnecting insertion members 3. Several rectangular members are assembled into a unit, the upper and lower members 1 having grooved projecting flanges 4 accommodating a shaped permanently magnetized plate 6 of, e.g. synthetic resin or rubber bonded pulvurulent magnetic material on each side of the assembly. The interconnecting grooves and insertion members may have co-operating zig-zag profiles (Figs. 5, 6, not shown) for firm retention, which may be supplemented by adhesive. In a modification, the component hollow members may be ribbed parallel to their edges to define parallel areas into which permanently magnetic strips may be inserted for the attachment of magnetizable letters. The ribs may be differently spaced on each side of the unit.
