Abstract
1340765 Heating apparatus using liquid fuel J-J CAMPS 19 April 1971 [17 Feb 1970] 21879/71 Heading F4T A heating apparatus utilizing liquid fuel comprises, in a frame 10, a fuel reservoir 13 and a combustion chamber 17 supplied with fuel from the reservoir via pipe 16, constant-level tank 15 and pipe 18. It is characterized in that the reservoir 13 and tank 15 which are fixed to a supporting plate 19 form a supply unit 20 mounted slidably and removably in the frame 10, separable coupling means being provided between the supply unit and pipe 18 by a nozzle 40 engaged by coupling sleeve 35 and sealed by annular fluid-tight joints 42. Two rigidly fixed slides 21 on which the supply unit 20 is slidably mounted are separated from the combustion chamber 17 by a free ventilation space 23. The supply unit 20 is further separated from the combustion chamber 17 by a double partition formed by supporting plate 19 and plate 25, and brackets 29 hold the fuel reservoir and constant-level tank IS at a distance from the supporting plate 19. An opening (28) (Fig. 3, not shown) near the upper edge of plate 19 acts as a lifting handle for the supply unit 20. As an alternative coupling means to the arrangement shown, the coupling sleeve 35 may be mounted on the frame 10 and connected to the pipe 18, and the nozzle 40 be carried by the supply unit 20.
