742,668. Dispensing liquids. CHUBB, C. L. June 17, 1954 [March 21, 1953], No. 7851/53. Class 116 [Also in Group XVII] Means for supplying fuel to a tank comprises a main supply nozzle 10, and a tube 12 having one end 20 within the nozzle and acted upon by the passing fuel to reduce the pressure therein, the other end of the tube 12 being at the desired maximum level of the fuel in the tank so that when the fuel reaches this level it is sucked into the tube 12 to indicate to the operator that he should stop the fuel supply. The nozzle has a lateral extension 22 to be positioned within the tank and engaged against the top inner surface thereof, and a manually-slidable plate 23 to be engaged with the mouth of the neck of the tank, whereby the nozzle can be detachably secured in positition in the neck.
