Abstract

1317550 Jet excavating; suction dredging BAGGERMAATSCHAPPIJ BOS & KALIS NV 13 Sept 1971 [14 Sept 1970] 42619/71 Heading E1F A jetting and suction excavating combination comprises a suction pipe 1, a first chamber 4 fixedly mounted round the pipe 1 adjacent the intake thereof, a water supply pipe 3 rigidly coupled into the chamber 4, a second chamber 5 sealing engaging with the lower side of the chamber 4, concentrically located about the pipe 1 and rotatable therearound and a short pipe 7 mounted on the chamber 5 to permit of water supplied under pressure through the pipe 3 leaving the chamber 5 to form an excavating jet as it leaves the pipe 7. The pipe 7 may be of telescopic construction and may be provided with at least one cutter.
