1340143 Headlamp and windscreen wiping and washing SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 19 April 1971 | 23 Jan 1970]20298/71 Heading A4F A headlamp and windscreen wiper and washer installation including separate wiper motors M 1 , M 0 , wiper switches WiS 1 , WiS 0 , washer switches WaS 1 , WaS 0 and washing fluid supply means P 1 , P 0 for the headlamps and windscreen respectively comprises the headlamp washer and wiper switches connected in such a way that power is only supplied to the headlamp wiper switch when the windscreen wiper is on and to the headlamp washer switch when the windscreen washer is on. Fig. 1, (not shown) shows a system in which the headlamp wiping and washing switches are so connected that current flows to them through the corresponding windscreen switches. Fig. 2 shows the headlamp wiper switch receiving its current through contacts c of a relay R which are connected only when the windscreen wiper is working. In this second case the current to operate the headlamp wiper is supplied to a contact of the relay R only, when the headlamps are switched on.
