991,268. Control of D.C. motors. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. March 18, 1964 [April 16, 1963], No. 14779/63. Heading H2J. A motor 4 driving a windscreen wiper is prepared for stopping by engaging contacts 5, 7, the motor circuit being maintained through contacts 8, 9. The contact 8 is driven by the motor, and, when this contact moves beyond the end of the arcuate contact 9, it engages a contact-piece 10 to short-circuit the motor armature. The motor is thus brought to rest when the wipers are in their parking position.
