Abstract

1337812 Dredging sand BAGGERMAATSCHAPPIJ BOS & KALIS BV 27 July 1971 [30 July 1970] 35094/71 Heading E1F A method of reducing the chloride content of sand recovered from a salt medium involves during transport of the sand in salt water the adding of water having a lower chloride content than that of the salt water. Preferably in a suction dredger plant the added water is fed to the salt water through a supply line either connected to a transport line for the sand/salt water suspension or discharging in or adjacent to the suction mouth of the dredger.
