Abstract

1337058 Reclining chairs J E EKORNES FABRIKKER A S 29 Oct 1971 [29 Oct 1970] 50658/71 Heading A4J In a chair in which the angle between the backrest and seat is adjustible by change in disposition of the weight of the user, the backrest frame 1 is pivotally connected at 3 to the seat frame 2 and at 5 to the rear of an upright support, the seat frame 2 being connected through a movable sliding shoe 6 to the front of the upright support, an adjustable wheel on the slide shoe being effective to frictionally couple the shoe to the support. In a modification Fig.2 (not shown) a stationary sliding shoe (6b) is provided on the front of the upright support below a movable shoe (6a) connecting the seat frame 2 to the support, an adjustable wheel on the stationary shoe being used to frictionally couple a tube (9) fixed to the movable shoe against movement.
