Abstract

1334029 Liquid infecting apparatus NOSCO PLASTICS Inc 15 Dec 1971 [15 Dec 1970] 58289/71 Heading A5R A syringe comprises a barrel 1 having a closed end 2 and an open end, and a single piece of flexible plastics forming a cannula 4, a piston having an end wall 8, and a cylindrical wall 16, the cannula having a fluid receiving end 5 pointing towards the closed end of the barrel, and the piston having an annular flange 11 diverging towards the closed end of the barrel, the flange being thick and non- feathered and being of sufficient stiffness to form a seal with the bore of the barrel. The piston also has a peripheral flange 9, and axially extending ribs 18 may join the cannula and wall 16. The syringe may be made from polypropylene and may contain a fluid for treating mastitis. A protecting cap 7 may be provided.
