Abstract

1332128 Gas burner RADIATION Ltd 30 Dec 1970 [31 Dec 1969] 63494/69 Heading F4T In a gaseous fuel burner head, a body 1 and a cap 2 co-operate to form a gaseous fuel supply chamber 3, and 4, one or more flame ports 20, the cap and body being contoured to form a first gaseous fuel passageway 18 and a second gaseous fuel passageway 12 of greater flow resistance leading from the fuel supply chamber 3 to each flame port 20. The cap 2 is formed with castellations 7, which react on an outer ledge 5 of the body 1. Gas flowing along the second fuel passageways 12 enters chambers 15 and is deflected by walls 13 to flow to the lower parts of flame ports 20 at low velocity to stabilize the rest of the flame formed by the combustion of gas fed to the upper parts of flame ports 20 via passageways 18. The invention may be employed in other forms of burner, e.g. a bar burner.
