Abstract
1,174,887. Catalytic burners. ENGELHARD MINERALS & CHEMICALS CORP. 24 April, 1968 [26 April, 1967], No. 19490/68. Heading F4T. A catalytic radiant heater has a housing 2 into which a mixture of a fuel such as propane and air is fed and a face 3 which has a ceramic support therein provided with channels (4) to direct the gas flow and a layer of a catalyst such as platinum deposited on a layer of alumina on the support.
