Abstract

1331252 Two-part couplings JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 22 Dec 1970 [10 Jan 1970] 1321/70 Heading H2E An electrical connector pin, formed from sheet metal, contains a leaf spring 11 possibly of the form shown, the free form of which is shown in dotted lines, an end portion 13 of the spring projecting through an opening 15 in the wall of the pin and being resiliently deformable to allow insertion of the pin into the passage in the connector body 16. When the end portion 13 of the spring emerges from the narrow part of the passage it resumes the position shown and thus acts as a pawl to prevent reverse movement of the pin. The pin is also provided with a projection, e.g. tab 12 formed from spring 11, acting as a stop to limit insertion of the pin into the passage. A terminal portion 10 can be provided on the pin.
