Abstract

1330162 Harvester W THOMAS 19 April 1971 [17 April 1970] 18490/70 Heading A1F A harvester 1 towed behind a tractor 7 has a cutter 2 which rotates about a horizontal axis and is driven from the tractor p.t.o. through a bevel gear box 3 having an output shaft 5 in the same horizontal plane as the cutter axis and mounted on a platform 4 extending from the harvester to enable it to underlie a trailer 9 towed behind the same tractor. The cut crop is blown through a chute (not shown) into the trailer for making hay or wet silage.
