Abstract

1328212 Mounting printing plates MASCHINENFABRIK WIFAG 15 Sept 1970 [24 Oct 1969] 44054/70 Heading B6C A printing plate clamping device comprises two clamping strips 7, 8 with beaks 9, 10 pivotally mounted in a cylinder channel 5, at least one strip 8 having a concave cam surface 14a through which an actuating screw 15 passes the screw 15 having a convex surface 15a engaged with the concave surface 14a so that as the screw 15 is screwed radially inwardly the associated clamping strip 8 is caused to pivot and narrow the gap between the beaks 9, 10. There are several cam surfaces 14a spaced along the length of the strip. The strips are so mounted at their ends that a worm and screw mechanism actuated by manual rotation moves the clamping strip 8 axially of the cylinder for adjustment of the plate Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown).
