Abstract

1,096,950. Printing-apparatus. A. WINDMÍLLER, and M. GENNERICH, [trading as WINDMÍLLER & HÍLSCHER]. Jan. 28, 1965 [Jan. 29, 1964], No. 3837/65. Heading B6C. An aniline-ink printing machine comprises a plate cylinder 1 mounted in stationary bearings, an impression roller 3 mounted in carriages 10, and a forme-inking roller 9 mounted in carriages 13, the carriages 10 and 13 being movable along guides 11, 12 and 14, 15 respectively to release the printing pressure by means of hydraulic piston and cylinder devices 31, 32. The carriages 10 and 13 may be displaced by screws 16 and 17 and may be clamped in an adjusted position by hydraulically-operated clamping devices 19 and 18 respectively. The screw devices 16, 17 are manually adjustable through worm-gearing and the hydraulic cylinders 32 are interconnected through a valve 39. A fountain 7 and a fountain roller 8 are also mounted on the carriages 13 and the carriages may be displaced sufficiently to allow the cylinder 1 to be replaced &c. A plurality of printing units may be provided.
