Abstract

1328041 Vacuum furnaces IPSEN INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL GmbH 22 Feb 1972 [1 March 1971] 8022/72 Heading F4B A vacuum furnace comprises a heating chamber 1 with a gas quenching chamber 2 on one side and an oil quenching chamber 3 on the other side. The three chambers 1, 2 and 3 are connected by vacuum lines 5 to exhaust pumps 4; valves enable each of the three chambers 1, 2 and 3 to be independently evacuated. A charging trolley 7 running on rails 6 is provided. The chambers 2 and 3 are each separated from the chamber 1 by a lock door 8 which can be moved clear by a piston and cylinder lifting unit 9.
