600,650. Furnace roofs. HEUER, R. P. June 26, 1945, No. 20795/47. Divided out of 600,630. [Class 51(ii)] In a suspended furnace roof structure, shown applied to an open hearth furnace, the bricks 9 and hangers 11 are disposed radially with respect to the centre C of an arch and suspended from a notched arcuate bar 55 concentric with said arch, which is sprung from blocks 53, either or both of which may be subject to pressure of springs 54. The bricks may be of an unburned chrome ore and/or magnesia type described in Specification 600,630. Specification 600,649 also is referred to.
