Abstract

1326830 Storing and dispensing articles ALGEMENE SCANDINAVISCHE IMPORT STAAL MAATSCHAPPIJ (A S I STAAL) NV 6 Dec 1971 [4 Dec 1970] 56483/71 Heading A4T A device having a tubular shape for storing and dispensing a stack of articles, e.g. plates, has a carrier 6 adapted to move up and down, and means for presenting an uppermost article at a predetermined level, and maintaining the uppermost article at this level when articles are removed, the device having at least two movable guide members 4, which may present adjustable guides into the tubular member for supporting articles of different cross-sections. Carrier 6 is integral with collar 8 and attached thereto by webs 7. Collar 8 is suspended by springs 26 (only three shown for clarity) from brace 23, the springs being removable to enable adjustment to be made for articles of different weight. The collar 8 is guided by rollers 29 in U-shaped members 1 supporting brace 23. The adjustable guides are pivotable about 13. Studs 19 are provided to afford guidance in placing plates in the device.
