A display device for carpets comprises a wall member or column 1 provided with bearing brackets 3 which together with a stirrup 6 support rods 5 carrying vertically adjustable carpetsupport frames 4, 4d as shown. The column may be mounted on a wall or on a base 2 provided, if desired, with rollers. The carpets are gripped by means of clips 4 or a clamping bar.
