Abstract

1325295 Reservoir applicators J C ROSS 7 May 1971 13777/71 Heading A4K A sponge 18 has mounted therein a flexible container 16 for liquid, said container being connected to a tubular body 12 provided with apertures 46 through which liquid flows to the sponge, the liquid flow being controlled by a valve which closes a passage connecting the container with the interior of the body. The valve may comprise a plug 34 secured at one end to a stem 36 the other end of which is secured to an internally screw threaded sleeve 14 which engages a screw thread 43 on the exterior of the body. In a second embodiment Figs.3-4 (not shown) a plug (62) is biased towards a closed position by a spring (70) positioned about a stem (68) which extends axially through the body.
