Abstract

1324442 Gas burner with hot-plate for cooking; gas-cooking-stove hot-plates FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 29 Sept 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 46315/70 Headings F4T and F4W A gas burner for cooking comprises a casing provided with secondary air inlet holes 11 and exhaust ports 9, a heat-resistant hot-plate 5 with a downwardly directed conical projection 6 in the centre, and a mixing tube 1 with a nozzle 4 located under the projection and having a primary air intake hole 3 and gas pipe 2 outside the casing. Preferably a porous heat insulating annular block 7 is located around and spaced from the nozzle, flame being directed by projection 6 to pass between the block and the hot-plate 5, the heat radiated from the block keeping the hot-plate evenly heated over its surface while air passing between the nozzle and the block cools the nozzle to prevent overheating and subsequent back-firing.
