1324376 Gas burner with hot plate for cooking; gas - cooking - stove hot - plates FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 29 Sept 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 46316/70 Headings F4T and F4W A gas burner for cooking comprises a casing provided with secondary air inlet holes 11 and exhaust ports 9, a heat-resistant hot-plate 5, a fire-proof heat insulating layer 6 coated on the whole lower surface of plate 5 except for the marginal edges, and a mixing tube 1 with a burner nozzle 4 on one end positioned under the centre of the hot-plate, the tube 1 having a primary air intake hole 3 and gas pipe 2 outside the casing. A porous heat-insulating annular plate 7 is located around the nozzle, air passing between the plate 7 and the nozzle to cool the nozzle and thus prevent overheating and subsequent backfiring. Combustion flame is established between the plates 5 and 7, and thus plate 7 and layer 6, which is preferably formed from a mixture of ceramic heat resistive cement and perlite, ensure that, by radiation and diffusion respectively, the hot-plate is heated evenly over its surface.
