Abstract

1323516 Magazine clips FORENADE FABRIKSVERKEN 10 Nov 1971 [24 Nov 1970] 52247/71 Heading F3A A plug-in type magazine clip for caseless cartridges comprises two halves 5 of frangible matsrial assembled together with wedge-like heels 10 abutting against forward facing shoulders of the cartridges. When the clip is inserted into a weapon and the cartridges are pushed into the barrel by the forward motion of the breech block, the halves break off along the lines 8 by virtue of the interaction of heels 10 with the forwardly facing shoulders of the cartridges. A tongue and groove arrangement 6, 7 prevents the spread of ignition fire from one cartridge compartment to another. The halves 5 are held together by a resilient steel frame 9 which is removable once the clip has been inserted in a weapon. The whole assembly is coated with a lacouer (not shown) which is ripped off by virtue of a projecting tag prior to use.
