Abstract

1322729 Shelving SAVAGE & PARSONS Ltd 19 April 1971 [6 Nov 1969] 54525/69 Heading A4B A shelf bracket 10, comprising a vertical plate with rear edge projections 12, 13 for engagement in slots in an upright and a strip 14 welded to a side face of the bracket 10 and provided with jaggled ends defining tongues 15, 16, supports a shelf 11 with a centrally notched, as at 26, end flange 25 supported on the central portion of the strip 14 and with the front tongue 15 located above an inturned flange 22 at the front edge of the shelf to prevent inadvertent upward displacement of the shelf front edge. The rear edge of the shelf includes an inturned flange 24 which is cut away at its end to allow passage of the rear tongue 16 when fitting the shelf. The edges 10a of the bracket 10 are bent arcuately away from the shelf. A strip 14 may be provided on both faces of the bracket 10.
