Abstract

1291258 Shelving NEXUS Ltd 19 Feb 1970 [21 Feb 1969] 9565/69 Heading A4B A shelving structure includes an upright 10 with at least one forwardly open longitudinal groove 12, 14 and an associated, rearwardly facing abutment face 16, 18 disposed forwardly of the groove 12, 14 and a bracket 20 having one or more sidewalls 22, 24 with an associated lateral projection 30, 32 and an edge portion 40, 42 disposed below and rearwardly of the projection 30, 32, the arrangement being such that to fit the bracket 20 the projection 32, 30 is first engaged behind the abutment face 16, 18 with the bracket 20 in an upwardly tilted condition and is then swung down to the horizontal position in which the edge 40, 42 enters the groove 14, 12 so that the bracket 20 is frictionally gripped by the upright 10. The bracket 20 has a slot 28 to facilitate displacement of the sidewalls 22, 24 towards each other. Two uprights may be integrally inter-connected back to back by a wall 70. In an alteration bracket 50, Fig.10, which also forms a partition the shelf is secured to a flange 62 and an H-shaped clip 58 is adapted to grip the upright 10. The latter may be of T-section.
