1322331 Photo-electric measuring BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORP Ltd 17 Aug 1970 [22 May 1969] 26132/69 Heading G1A In a method for estimating the output of an array of solar cells on a craft for different attitudes relative to a light source; the craft or a model is provided with areas corresponding to areas of the array which are either sources of light or are capable of reflecting light directed on to them, the light emitted or reflected being measured as a basis for the estimation. The source of light directed on the model in the case of reflecting surfaces and the detectors face in the same direction. Tests may be made in which light of different colours is detected. The model may be mounted to facilitate changes in its attitude, and the light sources may be beneath a diffusing layer or area corresponding to the array being investigated.
