Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the position of an energy source, such as a light source, a sound source and a heat source, automatically and easily by arranging measurement bodies, each having many sensors with prescribed elevation angle and azimuth angles arranged spherically, at the constant intervals. CONSTITUTION:Photodetectors 1 and 1a each have many photodetecting elements 3 spherically and cylindrical bodies 4 for separating a light beam incident to the adjacent element 3 are provided to respective elements 3. Each element 3 has a predetermined elevation angle phi and azimuth angle theta, and its output is made even to a light source 2. Further, the elevation angle phi and azimuth angle theta of each element 3 are stored in a CPU7. Then, one element 3 generating a miximum photodetection output to a light beam from the light source is selected by a multiplexer 5 and after A/D conversion 6, it is supplied to the CPU7. The CPU7 performs prescribed calculation on the basis of each input value and a distance l between the photodetectors 1 and 1a and performs coordinate conversion, value to find the absolute position of the light source 2 is formed by the calculation.
