Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform signal processing easily with less photodetectors by using two pieces of photodetectors of specificed shapes and sized. CONSTITUTION:When the solar light is made incident in parallel to a supporting body 21 from above an annular photodetector 23, the solar light falls onto the entire area of a circular photodetector 22 and the photodetector 23. In this case, the photodetectors 22 and 23 are equal in area and therefore, they produce equal outputs. When the light begins to deviate, the diameter of the photodetector 22 and the bore of the photodetector 23 are equal and therefore the shadow of the photodetector 23 is made on the photodetector 22, and as a result, the output of the photodetector 22 becomes smaller than the output of the photodetector 23. Thereupon if the output of the photodetector 22 is divided by the output of the photodetector 23 and signal processing is accomplished, the rate of deviation of the light is determined easily.
