Abstract

1321705 Mounting switch contacts CUTLERHAMMER INTERNATIONAL FINANCE Inc 29 Sept 1970 [29 Sept 1969] 46188/70 Heading H1N [Also in Divisions F2 and H2] A rivet type electrical contact member 14 has a ribbed, toothed or splined enlarged diameter portion 32 on its shank, and when it is passed through an aperture in insulating base 2 and forced into an aperture (36) in terminal member 18 (Fig. 3a, not shown), the outer portions of the teeth, splines or ribs are peeled back to form a seat against which the terminal is secured by upsetting end portion 34 of the shank over the exterior surface of the terminal (see also Figs. 4, 5, not shown). Elastic sealing rings may be provided between the rivet head and the base. As shown contacts 14 are switch contacts connectible with centre contact 16 by bridging rocker contacter 26.
