Abstract

1438106 Carpet fasteners W HARDMAN 10 Sept 1973 [20 Sept 1972] 43651/72 Heading A4S A carpet fastener is formed by a blank having tines 12 stamped from metal strip, the tines being thereafter bent back to provide a carpet-engaging part which overlies a floor-engaging part 11. A screw or pin 16 secures the fastener to the floor and this may pass through a hole provided through the part 11 or a recess in the concave edge 15, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). In a second embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the fastener is provided with floor-engaging prongs formed by stamping. The fastener may be used on walls.
