Abstract
1320106 Acetylene storage containers LINDE AG 2 March 1972 [8 March 1971] 9817/72 Heading F4P A dissolved acetylene storage cylinder 1 is first charged with an aqueous slurry which is then dried and hardened to form a monolithic porous mass 3 during which operation a space forms between the mass 3 and the cylinder wall and top and is filled with a fine-grained sinterable material 2, e.g. a silicon-containing alloy of aluminium, magnesium, manganese copper which is then sintered by heating the container. The sintered material 2 protects the gascharged mass 3 against mechanical shocks and a portion located in a recess 5 provides a flame trap.
