Abstract

1333146 Tungsten base alloy GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 4 Jan 1972 [5 Jan 1971] 515/71 Heading C7A An alloy containing substantially no voids, consists of:- the iron content being no less than the total content of Co + Ni. The alloy may be made by liquid phase sintering in a dry non-oxidizing atmosphere or vacuum. Reference is made to compacting the powder mixture with a binder at 5-20 tons/in<SP>2</SP>, prefixing at up to 900‹-1000‹C. and sintering at 1375‹-1500‹C. for ¢-6 hours.
