1318966 Fragmentation warhead MESSERSCHMITT-BOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 7 Aug 1970 [27 Aug 1969] 38219/70 Heading F3A A fragmentation warhead comprises spherical splinters 1 mutually interconnected, e.g., by soldering, sintering, brazing or adhesive bonding, at their points of contact 3; and a matrix 5 of lower density material such as aluminium or plastics. A tube 2 extends from a delay action detonator (not shown) at the front end to an explosive charge (not shown) at the rear.
